Software Center App Stuck Downloading

I looked in the task manager to see if i could see the application installer running and kill it but i saw nothing.

Software center app stuck downloading. This happens because the machine rebooted before the sccm agent can finish updating all the wmi classes or something has happened to wmi or the content but after the actual advertisement is completed. Run the wmic command reset our sc status. When running published applications from the software center you may notice the apps get stuck at downloading or installing return code 0x80091007 2146889721.

In my lab setup i noticed sccm update stuck in downloading state. On all win 8 1 test machines patches got installed. Software center already installed this application on this computer.

On all win 10 machines updates are stuck at 0 downloading. Step 3 is the application distributed to sccm distribution point. As far as i can tell this happens with newly imaged computers.

Windows ccmcache folder there is a temporary folder but it is empty. For a long time it showed the status as downloading but the update was never downloaded. Software center is downloading the software to install on this computer.
